Frequently Asked Questions — Body-Solid Multi-Station Gyms
Everything you need to know before buying a Body-Solid home or commercial gym.
Single-stack gyms (G5S/G5B, F500B, F600B) have one 210 lb weight stack and are designed for one user at a time. Multi-stack gyms allow multiple people to train simultaneously on independent stations:
- G9S/G9B: Dual 210 lb stacks — 2 users standard, 3 with optional GKR9 attachment
- EXM3000LPS: Dual 210 lb stacks — 2 users standard, 3 with optional VKR30 attachment
- S1000: Four 210 lb stacks — up to 4 users simultaneously
For a home gym used by one person, a single-stack is typically sufficient. For households with multiple active users or light commercial settings, a dual-stack is the smarter investment.
- Solo user, compact space: G5S/G5B or F500B — single 210 lb stack, 6 stations, smallest footprint
- Solo user, functional training focus: F600B — Bi-Angular press arm, articulating functional trainer arms, modular expandability
- Two users / family gym: G9S/G9B or EXM3000LPS — dual stacks, 7+ stations, train together without waiting
- Light commercial / multi-user facility: S1000 — four independent stations, four 210 lb stacks, full commercial rated
Footprints vary by model. All units stand approximately 83–84 inches tall, so a standard 8-foot ceiling works for most. Allow at least 24 inches of clearance on all sides for safe operation.
- G5S/G5B: 81" L × 55" W
- F500B: 76" L × 48" W
- F600B: 74" L × 51" W
- EXM3000LPS: 91" L × 73" W
- G9S/G9B: 89" L × 76" W
- S1000: 124" L × 135" W
Body-Solid offers one of the strongest warranties in the fitness industry:
- Residential (in-home) use: Lifetime on frames, welds, pulleys, bushings, bearings, hardware, plates, guide rods, cables, and upholstery — everything, forever
- Light commercial use: Lifetime on frames and welds, 3 years on pulleys/bushings/bearings/hardware/plates/guide rods, 1 year on cables, upholstery, and grips
- Full commercial (S1000 Pro ClubLine): Lifetime on frames and welds, 3 years on pulleys/bushings/bearings/hardware/plates/guide rods, 1 year on cables, upholstery, and grips
Light commercial use covers facilities that do not charge monthly membership dues and where equipment is used by fewer than 50 people per day — including hotels, apartments, personal training studios, and police/fire stations.
The Bi-Angular press arm, featured on the G9S/G9B and F600B, uses a converging axis design that mimics the natural arc of free weights. Unlike standard linear press arms, it applies resistance from two directions simultaneously — eliminating the rest point at the top of the movement and keeping your muscles under tension throughout the full range of motion.
Body-Solid's research shows this delivers up to 25% greater muscle activation compared to standard cable press stations, making it especially effective for chest, shoulder, and incline press development.
It depends on the model:
- Included standard: G9S/G9B, EXM3000LPS, and S1000 all include a leg press station. It operates on a 2:1 weight ratio — converting the 210 lb stack into 420 lbs of leg press resistance.
- Optional add-on: G5S/G5B (GLP attachment) and the Fusion series F500B/F600B (FLP Fusion Leg Press attachment) — sold separately.
Yes. All G-Series and Fusion gyms carry a light commercial warranty, making them suitable for hotels, apartment fitness centers, personal training studios, police and fire stations, and school weight rooms. The Pro ClubLine S1000 is full commercial rated and engineered for high-traffic environments — commercial gyms, universities, and government facilities.

Assembly typically takes 4 to 8 hours and requires two people due to the size and weight of components. Larger dual-stack models like the G9S/G9B and EXM3000LPS are more complex. Body-Solid includes a printed assembly manual with every unit.
Professional white-glove assembly is available through GymsHQ's nationwide installer network. Contact us for a quote.
Yes. Most Body-Solid multi-station gyms ship with a standard 210 lb weight stack, which can be upgraded:
- G-Series (G5S/G5B, G9S/G9B): Upgradeable to 260 lb stacks
- S1000: Upgradeable from 210 lb to 310 lb stacks on all four stations
- Fusion series (F500B/F600B): Available in 210 lb or 310 lb stack configurations at time of purchase
Keep in mind the 2:1 leg press ratio — a 210 lb stack delivers 420 lbs of leg press resistance, and upgrading to 260 lbs brings that to 520 lbs.
